WIS-School of Economics, Business and Accountancy holds 4th Business and Economics Forum
Senior Business Administration Students, with the full support of their Dean, Dr. Marites D. Manlongat have successfully marked the year as they hold the 4th Business and Economics with the theme “Online Opportunities: Access to Success”.
Held last January 30, 2014 at the Batangas Provincial Auditorium, Capitol Site, Batangas City, the said forum was attended by almost 600 students together with their respective instructors from Westmead International School, Lyceum of the Philippines University-Batangas and Colegio ng Lungsod ng Batangas.
The event was indeed a remarkable one as it presented keynote speakers who are very inclined in their own field. The first speaker was Mr. Ronaldo L. Cabaccang who is a project manager of Social Consztellation, Owner of Zen Tuna Grille and the same time the National Vice Chairman of the board of Trustees for KA ENTREP. The students were all eager as he discussed about the Digital Media Discovery 101. Meanwhile, Ms. Alice Lacorte, dean of the College of Information Technology and Communication Technology of the First Asia Institute of Technology and Hospitality, and the Coordinator of the Council of Deans and Information Enthusiast (CODITE), CALABARZON shares her insights all about the E-Commerce 101.
On the other hand, Ms. Jannete Toral, the Mother of E-Commerce and a holder of various awards such as: Women Innovator 2011, Champion of the Philippine Internet, Hall of Fame (March 2010), E-service Awardee 2008 (Policy and Legal Category) and an International Schools Cyber fair Ambassador Awardee was the third and last keynote speaker who enlightened the mind of each student about the notion of E-Commerce and how an individual can get into it and succeed unto it.
At the end of the seminar, students were filled by much information and so the priceless smiles on their faces.
