College of Teacher Education Holds Successful Annual Seminar 2026

The College of Teacher Education (CTE), in collaboration with the Organization of Future Educators (OFED), successfully conducted its Annual Seminar 2026 on May 3, 2026. Anchored on the theme “Transforming Education Through Smart and Heartfelt Teaching,” the event brought together students, faculty members, and invited speakers for a day of meaningful learning, collaboration, and professional growth.

ching practices while emphasizing the importance of compassion in the teaching profession. It highlighted the balance between intellectual competence and emotional connection as essential elements of effective teaching.

Opening Program Sets the Tone

The program began with participant registration followed by an opening ceremony that included a prayer, the singing of the National Anthem, and the WIS Hymn. These activities fostered a sense of unity, patriotism, and institutional pride among attendees.

Dr. Arlene D. Castor, College Dean, delivered the welcome remarks, encouraging students to remain committed to lifelong learning and excellence in education. Her message set an inspiring and professional tone for the seminar.
