Alangilan, Batangas City — Westmead International School reaffirmed its commitment to innovation in education by conducting a Faculty Orientation and Canvas Learning Management System (LMS) Workshop at the EDC Building 1, Room 202/203 (Conference Room). The event served as an important milestone in the institution’s continuing efforts to strengthen digital teaching and learning as part of its strategic vision for educational excellence.

The orientation and workshop were facilitated by Mr. Jose Rafael Mojica, together with the NXT AIS Inc. team composed of Mr. Brian La Rosa, Mr. Kobe Bajade, and Mr. Carl Alapide.

During the opening session, Mr. Mojica introduced NXT AIS Inc. and discussed its mission of delivering innovative technology solutions for educational institutions. He also provided a comprehensive overview of Canvas LMS by Instructure, highlighting how the platform supports effective course management, student engagement, digital collaboration, and outcomes-based teaching.

Following the orientation, Mr. Brian La Rosa led an interactive hands-on workshop, guiding Westmead faculty members through the platform’s core functionalities. Participants explored the creation and management of courses, uploading learning resources, organizing modules, creating assignments and quizzes, managing grades, communicating with students, and utilizing the platform’s collaborative features. The workshop provided faculty members with practical knowledge and confidence in integrating Canvas into their instructional practices.
