The Batangas Information Technology Society (BITS) proudly hosted DATA BIZ 2025, a one-day seminar held on October 25, 2025, at the Lipa Academy for Sports, Culture and Arts (LASCA), Dagatan, Lipa City.

With the theme “Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, and Business Analytics,” the event brought together thought leaders, innovators, and IT professionals to explore how emerging technologies are transforming the future of business, innovation, and decision-making.

Students from the Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT) and Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (BSCS) programs under the College of Information Technology and Computer Studies (CITCS) of Westmead International School (WIS) actively participated in this knowledge-driven event.

Adding to the excitement of the event, three WIS students proudly represented the institution in the DATA BIZ Quiz Bee Competition, where they showcased their knowledge and skills in data science and emerging technologies. Their teamwork and dedication earned them the title of 2nd Runner-Up, marking another milestone achievement for the CITCS community.

The discussions emphasized the crucial role of data literacy, ethical AI use, and privacy in the modern tech ecosystem. Through these sessions, participants gained deeper perspectives on how data-driven innovations can be harnessed responsibly to create smarter, more secure, and more inclusive digital solutions.
