Batangas City, Philippines — September 29, 2025 | The College of Tourism and Hospitality Management (CTHM) of Westmead International School successfully held its Gender and Development Seminar, a meaningful event centered on the theme “Honoring our journey, Empowering all: A Rise Towards Gender Equality.”

The seminar took place at EDC Building, Room 202, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, and gathered students, faculty, and staff for an afternoon of learning, reflection, and empowerment.

Mx. Kirk Sison, the event’s guest speaker, delivered an inspiring talk on the importance of inclusivity, respect, and equal opportunities. The session highlighted the continuous journey toward gender equality and the collective role of the academic community in promoting a safe and supportive environment for everyone.

The seminar also served as a platform to strengthen Westmead’s commitment to gender awareness and advocacy. Attendees were encouraged to actively participate, share insights, and carry forward the values of respect, acceptance, and empowerment.
