CITCS Tarlac and Subic Experience
The BSCS and BSIT junior students went to Tarlac and Subic Last March 5-6, 2014 for their next scheduled educational trip. Their first destination was the International Broadcasting Bureau (IBB), the former Voice of America, located at Tinang, Concepcion, Tarlac. It is a global radio network of the Broadcasting Board of Governors whose main purpose is to serve as the transmitting station to ensure the availability of a strong into the China, Russia, Pacific Ocean, Korean, Oceana, Indonesia Tibet, South and Southeast Asia and East Africa. All IBB programs originate from studios in Washington ad are relayed to the Philippines through Satellite Interconnect System Circuit.
Such company trip was followed by an astonishing exploration of the Philippine Academy for Aviation Training (PAAT), the official training provider of the Cebu Pacific Airlines for their Pilots. PAAT is one of the few aviation schools in the Philippines offering courses for the commercial aviation in industry in the country. It provides modeling, simulation and training for civil aviation and defense.
The students’ fun-filled itinerary concluded with a visit to the Management Information System Department of the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA), the One Subic Power Generation Corporation, and finally the Subic Bay International Airport.
