Tara sa CALABARZON!: College of Tourism and Hospitality Management Week

13Oct2023

Experience Culture, Flavor, and Unity in Diversity. Westmead International School’s College of Tourism and Hospitality Management (CTHM) proudly presents one of its most colorful and meaningful celebrations of the year—CTHM Week, headlined by the spectacular cultural event: “Tara sa CALABARZON: The Calabarzon Cultural Showcase.” More than just a festival, this week-long celebration served as a tribute to the rich heritage, diverse traditions, and vibrant flavors of the CALABARZON region—Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, and Quezon. Students, faculty, and guests were immersed in a cultural experience that brought the heart of each province to life through culinary delights, folk performances, creative exhibits, and student-led presentations. The celebration emphasized unity within diversity, showcasing how different cultures can come together harmoniously to form a shared identity. Guests enjoyed authentic regional food tasting, traditional dance performances, tourism-themed exhibits, and engaging talks from professionals in the travel and hospitality industry. The entire week echoed the passion, talent, and creativity of CTHM students, reflecting their commitment to promoting tourism, cultural appreciation, and hospitality excellence. With each activity, the CTHM Week promoted cultural pride, global awareness, and a sense of community. The event successfully highlighted the core values of the program—hospitality, creativity, and global readiness—making it not only enjoyable but also deeply meaningful for everyone involved. To our future tourism and hospitality professionals: thank you for making this week truly CTHMazing! You have brought the warmth, color, and flavor of CALABARZON to life within the WIS campus. Stay tuned for official highlights, photos, and competition results. Mabuhay ang kultura ng CALABARZON—tara na ulit sa susunod!
